Modems shipped
by the former Hayes Corporation are deemed "legacy" modems.
You have a legacy Hayes modem if one or more of the following
apply:
- You purchased the modem before June 11, 1999.*
- The warranty
information states repairs are performed in a location
other than Boston.
- The serial number (SN) does not contain "H08." Note:
Most Hayes Corp. serial numbers contain an "A" prefix.
Zoom attempts to provide free
firmware upgrades WHEN POSSIBLE to Hayes 56K modem owners
who purchased products shipped by the Hayes Corporation.
Unfortunately, Zoom
does not have upgrade firmware for the many Hayes-produced
products that are no longer produced by Zoom. In addition,
because we did not design these products and have inadequate
documentation regarding the design, we cannot guarantee that
these files will function properly or at all when downloaded.
For these reasons, all firmware downloads for products shipped
by Hayes are entirely at customers' risk.
The drivers, INF files, and documents we have obtained are
posted below. These files are provided as a courtesy only.
We claim no responsibility to the accuracy of the information.
